Founding Statement: Gunslinging Mustang of Minerva was founded during Spring Break of
2004 on the Bluffs overlooking Acapulco Bay. Its founders wanted to establish a post-graduate men's society modeled after
The Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. The founders of GMoM extensively studied the writings of Noble
Leslie DeVotie, John Barratt Rudulph, Nathan Elams Cockrell, John Webb Kerr, Wade Hampton Foster, Samuel Marion Dennis, Abner
Edwin Patton and Thomas Chappell Cook. The eight founding fathers of SAE had laid out the blue print on how to establish such
a brotherhood over two century's ago, however the largest obstacle to overcome was to mold their ante-bellum ideals
into a post-graduate order for the 21st century man. Founded in a time of growing and intense sectional feeling, GMoM, did not thrive in the beginning.
The original stature of GMoM would best be described as an urban country club. The founding fathers and neophytes would
gather informally in their homes on a weekly basis and would fraternize (discuss current events, exchange gossip and rumors
and during the summer season: swim). However in the fall of the year 2008, all of pieces fell into place
when the club acquired land and most importantly a flag for all GMoM comrades to rally around. Though only in existence for
a short while, the accomplishments and achievements are momentous. GMoM has participated in millions of philanthropic
activities including but not limited to: and several thousand others. The Gunslinging Mustangs
of Minerva will continue to dominate the Boulevard for centuries to come to the same extent that the Romans dominated Gaul. If you happen to see us on a sunny Saturday please stay out of our way. People should know when they are conquered.
